His work was fascinating, and I enjoyed reading about it. We corresponded occasionally after he shared his story for the ABC Survivors website here: http://tinyurl.com/3xks6g . Even in e-mail, Reed seemed like such a friendly person. I send prayers for peace and comfort to all who love him. The cancer that Reed had affects other wonderful young people and adults, and it receives very little research funding. I work with an all-volunteer organization called the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative and hope that future patients like Reed will have better treatment options.
